Role Summary

The IT Manager will provide leadership in managing the operational activities within the Borr Drilling’s IT global support organization. This role will ensure consistent and regular KPI setting and reporting of Service Delivery. This role will engage with IT teams and senior stakeholders within the business and you will act as functional lead of document control and other business software.


  • Enhance the value of IT within Borr Drilling, utilizing where appropriate internal & external resources.
  • Oversee the management of the delivery of agreed solutions are in compliance with IT Strategies, Architectures, Policies, Processes and Procedures ensuring continued business value of the service portfolio.
  • Implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development in line with Corporate policy.
  • Manage the lifecycle of all IT assets within agreed Financial and Governance procedures.
    Change Manager for IT infrastructure and applications responsible for overseeing changes to the IT environment mitigating risk and ensuring minimum business disruption.
  • Proactive management of Borr Drilling’s Information & Asset Security including network monitoring, and security.
  • Service Desk Management – coordinate and improve Service Desk deliveries operated by supplier(s).
  • Process Management (establish, follow up and improve – ITIL)
  • Supplier Management relationships to support the needs of the business and ensure that all suppliers meet their contractual commitments.
  • Identification, Analysis, suggestion & recommendation of new requirements.
  • Compatibility & utilization of existing items against new requirements.
  • Electronic Insurance policy coverage and renewal.
  • Working with other departments and ensuring that they are maximizing the benefits of IT and discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines.


  • Education/Qualifications: A computer science or Engineering degree with a minimum 10 years work experience in an IT environment, 5 of which must be in a managerial role within the IT organization. You should also hold a project management certification – PMP or PRINCE 2 and a COBIT 5 or IT Governance Certification.
  • Required knowledge: ITIL expert in Service Operations and Service Delivery knowledge, and experience with the design and implementation of operational management processes.
  • Experience required: Significant senior information services management experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry, confidence to manage a large, diverse IT infrastructure and applications operation within a large globally outsourced environment, demonstrated people leadership skills to build and motivate a remote team.
  • Skills/abilities: Well developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills, comfortable to work in an environment of change, results oriented and resilient, excellent supplier management skills and effective at building and maintaining relationships within IT, cross-functionally and with outsource partners, ability to represent the IT organisation as part of the broader Borr team.
