Role Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the implementation, management, and oversight support for Borr drillings CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). He/she will be responsible for developing Borr drillings maintenance strategy ensuring compliance with industry standards and Borr drillings policies and procedures. The Maintenance Manager will develop and monitor maintenance KPI’s ensuring oversight of Borr Drillings operational integrity.


  • Develop maintenance routines for Borr drilling assets ensuring compliance with Industry standards and Borr drilling policies and procedures
  • Oversee the roll out and implementation of Borr drilling CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) on existing assets and new-build rigs.
  • Focal point for field support relating to equipment maintenance, maintenance deferrals, and system change requests.
  • Investigation of major NPT events relating to equipment failures.
  • Develop and monitor maintenance KPI’s ensuring oversight of Borr Drilling asset integrity.
  • Reporting of maintenance KPI’s to Borr Drilling management team. 
  • Distribution of vendor alerts, advisories, and bulletins ensuring actions are tracked and closed out within timeline set. 
  • Develop audit schedule to confirm compliance of PM routines outlined in each rigs CMMS.
  • Periodic travel to Borr Drilling assets to provide onboard support as required.
  • Work in conjunction with Operations and Supply Chain to establish robust critical inventory for Borr Drilling rigs.
  • Review alternative maintenance methodology (e.g. CBM) to optimize equipment maintenance without compromising on operational integrity and equipment up time.
  • Maintain close relationships with major equipment vendor and manufacturers


  • Comprehensive understanding of maintenance management combined with multi discipline technical background in the drilling industry. 
  • Must have at least 15 years experience in drilling operations
  • Must have at least 5 years experience at  maintenance supervisor level or similar.
  • Preference to candidates with experience using STAR SIS maintenance CMMS but not essential.
