Role Summary

To support the accurate and timely processing of salary payments for all staff within designated region.  Support in the provision of an efficient and legally compliant payroll function.


  • Support with the accurate and timely processing of multiple payrolls for on and offshore personnel within designated region
  • Input and check offshore daily timesheets
  • Reconciliation of daily and monthly timesheets and resolve discrepancies if found
  • Review and process expense reports submitted by personnel
  • Process training expenses and track training compensation payments
  • Process payroll variations: exceptions, deductions and additions as directed
  • Calculate currency conversions as required
  • Ensure queries from internal colleagues and employees are responded to in a timely manner
  • Support employees with official requests for salary confirmation for mortgage/insurance purposes etc.
  • Support in the production and distribution of monthly payslips
  • Support with year-end payroll activities including production of P11Ds, P60s etc.
  • Ensure employee payroll records are accurate and up-to-date at all times
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of payroll department at all times
  • Stand in for Payroll Supervisor during holidays and other absence
  • Take personal responsibility for own continued professional development and undertake any training as required
  • Perform other duties, complete additional tasks and support ad hoc projects as required


Formal Qualifications & Certification

  • High School English & Maths or equivalent
  • Ideally HNC/HND Business Administration, Payroll similar qualification or equivalent relevant experience at Company’s discretion

Specific Skills / Training & Competencies

  • Experience dealing with complex and varied payrolls particularly offshore payrolls
  • Proficient in MS office, particularly excel
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills (fluent written and spoken English)
  • Experience of using payroll software
  • Competent performing manual calculations
  • Maintain the confidentially of company and personnel information
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in evaluating potential problems with payroll and ability to work on own initiative and offer alternative solutions
  • Ability to work in a complex work environment to challenging deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment
