Role Summary

The Well Control Equipment Superintendent role will provide subject matter expertise to Borr Drilling regarding well control equipment. He/She will be part of an onshore technical team supporting Borr Drilling assets and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter support to Borr Drillings fleet in the event of well control equipment related technical challenges.
  • Review well control equipment related downtime in terms of failure modes with lessons learned shared to the fleet.
  • Support offshore team with BWM planning.
  • Develop and implement Borr Drilling technical standards in line with OEM, regulatory and Industry standards
  • Support maintenance organization with equipment maintenance standards to maximize operational uptime whilst optimizing maintenance costs.
  • Review equipment/industry related alerts and provide recommendations.
  • Fleet spare well control equipment management in terms of equipment inspection, overhaul, and/or preservation.
  • Work in conjunction with Rig Managers to ensure fleet spare equipment availability for major overhauls and certification requirements.
  • Support Borr drilling projects during planning, execution, and close out phases of the project.
  • Provide technical support during SPS/Reactivation project activity.
  • Work in conjunction with Borr drillings newbuild team to ensure technical compliance of newbuild assets and Quality control during commissioning
  • Visibility onboard Borr Drilling rigs on a frequent basis in conjunction with audit and oversight of Borr Drilling policies and procedures.
  • Technical review of annual rig maintenance budgets and unplanned AFE requests.
  • Focal point for well control equipment within Borr Drilling providing cross-functional support as a subject matter expert.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years experience in the offshore drilling industry with a minimum of 10 years Subsea/Well Control specific experience.
  • Previous experience as Subsea supervisor or equivalent position
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing.
  • Computer literate and familiar with MS office applications Word, Excel, Power-point, MS Project (preferred).
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Proactive approach and willing to learn and improve knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel.
