Role Summary
Material & Inventory Supervisor provides support on an International (when required) and / or deployment at regional and district offices, shipyards and offshore drilling units. Is responsible for the implementation of an effective inventory control program that supports procurement management to support the drilling operation with material and services in an economic and timely fashion. This includes:
- Regulatory and Corporate Compliance
- Supervision and mentor of Storekeeper activities
- Review and upkeep of WW stock
- Promote and maintain quality and inventory objectives for department reduction cost across the fleet
Responsibilities
- To be familiar with and perform duties in line with the Global Supply Chain BMS Procedures
- Review and improve onshore stock keeping with assistance or Yard Supervisors / Coordinators
- Supervise the purchasing, logistics and inventory teams including appraisals, training and career development, promoting teamwork, staff motivation and effective use of the human resources under their control.
- Mentor offshore Storekeeper work ethic by good practice methodology and compliance to Supply Chain Procedures.
- Mentor local storage yards and logistic personnel or third party processing ethic and good practice methodology and compliance to Supply Chain procedures.
- Monitoring / Perform storekeepers to ensure cycle counting of annual physical inventory.
- Coordinating with rig department supervisors to renew and update inventory maximum and minimum stock quantities & promote – implement improvement initiatives as to reduce overall cost & cost of ownership.
- Identifying and preparing detailed listing of obsolete inventory items.
- Providing item details to help storekeepers track required materials availability – new purchase against fleet availability.
- Providing support to field operations to perform shore-based storage facility inventory and tracking.
- Monitoring inventory levels and processing of inventory transaction – specifically the 3PL OHR (on hand reports).
- Report monthly Tubular, and major WW spare Equipment status.
- Responsible to maintain WW onshore Yard Inventory, including on-hand reporting.
- Support management of fleet storage facilities via regional managers and operational requirements.
- Ensure all requisitions are processed in a prompt and efficient manner, and within Company procedures.
- Ensure that materials purchased are as specified, safe, fit for purpose, correctly documented and the most economic to fulfil the Company business objectives.
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions and present for approval purchase orders within limits of managements financial authority.
- Ensure that all materials and services are sourced, priced, purchased and supplied in accordance with Company Management Systems Procedures.
- Where identified as the actioning party, close out any actions in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all invoice queries are processed, and changes approved, in a timely manner.
- Ensure all asset/stock number requests are approved in a timely manner.
- Assist with other departmental tasks as directed by Functional Manager.
- Maintain KPI’s related to supply chain functions.
- Carry out/assist with corporate and regulatory audits and conduct workplace inspections.
- If required, implement or contribute to the Management of Change process.
- Work closely with the Contracts/ Supply Chain/ Operations to deliver on Company’s commitments to Customer’s and internal stakeholders
- Develop and implement best practices in providing cost effective and timely Logistics solutions
- Ensure all support documentation is created and filled as per Company policies and procedures & legislative requirements.
- Any other duties assigned by Line Supervisor / Line Manager (as appropriate) for which person are deemed competent.

Qualifications
- Experience of working for a global Oil and Gas service company in logistics and warehousing.
- Experience of store keeping and inventory management duties in the oil and gas industry.
- Be familiar with drilling equipment and consumables used
