Role Summary
Provides regional HR leadership and guidance to the regional management team to ensure delivery of strategic objectives relative to Recruitment and Retention, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Workforce Planning, Compensation and Benefits, Training and Competency compliance, and Labor Negotiations for the Region.
Responsibilities
HR Leadership
- Partner with business leaders to understand their goals and jointly develop plans in accordance with company strategy
- Provide to the business leaders and HR Teams HR guidance, support and direction on legal, and contractual requirements in accordance with local requirements.
- Lead and engage in regional management strategies and be recognised by the regional management team as the HR Lead.
- Lead and direct HR Staff within the region and provide functional support to Corporate HR on projects and Global Procedure compliance.
- Manage and report as required to the business HR KPI compliance as set by the Company.
- Liaise with corporate HR department on recruitment, employee compensation and benefits, and employee development matters as required.
- Coordinate and engage within the wider HR function and contribute to the discussion to the regular HR meetings and calls.
- Work with Legal, Corporate Compliance and other functions to review and maintain company policy governing employees and contractors.
- Coordinate and report on regular contractual tender review requests for future work with Marketing
Recruitment, Retention and Work Force Planning
- Manage the process of regional hiring and placement of personnel for drilling rigs and regional offices.
- Manage the workforce planning and associated talent management and staffing strategies across the regional operating locations.
- Establish regional recruiting strategies that maintain regional recruitment performance, process and accountability, and lead the attraction strategies for key positions which align with company objectives.
- Ensure client and contractual manning is met for each unit.
- Prepare Regional manpower plans/forecast and annual budgets as required.
- Manage accuracy and timely completion of regional workforce planning activities.
- Drive and manage regional nationalisation targets as set by the Company.
Employee Relations and Performance Management
- Coordinate timely submission of regional performance appraisals and ongoing performance management.
- Manage, guide, and support regional disciplinary matters in accordance with due process and compliance procedure.
- Ensures compliance with local employment laws, local and company-wide human resource policies and procedures and provides leadership in regional HR problem resolution.
- Act as regional lead in identifying improvement opportunities and employee development requirements.
- Participates, coordinates, and engages in local labor negotiations and provides resolution management to the business leaders.
Training and Competency Compliance
- Manage and drive regional training and competency compliance for all in accordance the set company KPI’s.
- Ensures local, regulatory and contractual compliance to ensure competent workforce.
General HR
- Ensure adherence to the Code of Business Conduct, company policies and procedures by reporting and assisting in investigating potential violations and advising management on consistently maintaining the highest ethical standards and minimising exposure to liability or risk to the company’s reputation.
- Ensure all HR administration for the region is in accordance with procedure and due process is followed.
- Attend human resources conferences and seminars as scheduled.
- Assist with creating or revising human resource procedures.
- Travel to other company offices and provide support as required.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications & Experience
- College degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in all aspects of international human resource management
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with geographically dispersed and multi-cultural teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications
- Extensive experience in a similar role in the energy service industry
